I’m planning on making the switch soon to cloth nappies, have a nappuchino to attend in 2 weeks time to see alll my options. In the meantime I am researching, coz that’s what I like to do, and I found these step by step guides that make it look foolproof or at least halfpintpixie-proof!

They’re from www.breastfeedingsymbol.org which also has a great article about all of the “It’s our right to have free formula” arguments that are flaring up after the NY hospitals stopped giving out free advertising for international companies who really, apart from a vested interest in getting new consumers, could care less about our babies, formula or breastfed.

Wow, thanks, I feel very honored. Good to know another person out there agrees all these “right-to-free-formula” arguments are just garbage.
I’m using Motherease nappies since baby is 2 months old and I just love them.I bought them from Nappy Lady and their service is excellent. I can give you further info if you’d like to.
That’s good to know Isil, they do seem to be popular from my investigations. I know absolutely nothing about clothies, so a nappy advisor from naturesnursery.ie will be demo-ing some in a week or two, I think they have motherease, bumgenius, totsbots & bambinex.
I’m looking forward to making the switch, our current nappies are compostable so it’s not too bad, but it’s still a lot to be throwing out every day!
How do you find drying them? Do you constantly have nappies drying in the house or would they dry quite fast? I have heard that some countries have an amazing thing called the “sun” which drys them outside, but here in the west of Ireland we know not what that is
I wash them every other day. I have 18 nappies and use about 6 a day so we continously wash here
if not nappies, then other stuff.
It takes 1 day to dry them indoors (We don’t have a garden or balcony) I’d rather dry them outside with lots of sunshine because sunshine is said to remove all the stains.
One of my friends is using bamboo nappies. Maybe they dry in a much shorter time.
Btw. as Defne is growing,I find it harder to change nappies, she’s moving all the time ; )
