NaBloPoMo – Day 28
Look what arrived in the post today… My new Deluxe MaM Babywearing Cover.
I’d been trying to get the balance of clothing right for littlepixie, balancing the hot bus, the cold outdoors & the overheated shops, it was getting difficult. One of the Magicmums suggested this cover, I must say it’s gorgeous, and it comes with a little hat with ears!
So now I can dress her warmly, but not too warm, pop her in the mei-tai, pop the snuggly cover over it and when we go into a shop just slip the cover off. Until now, I’ve been wearing littlepixie under my coat and leaving my coat open around her, so the chilly winter breeze kept sneaking in around me. Now I can wear littlepixie over my coat, so I’ll be snuggly too. Hurrah! It’s waterproof too which is a bonus.

I was thinking about the same issue a few days ago.
I had bought a pram suit for Defne. It’s too thick for the overheated shops and it has got feet so I don’t like it anymore with a baby who wants to cruise all over the place. But it’s not thick enough for the cold weather.
I suppose she doesn’t need to wear something like a pram suit inside,does she? Do you just put on the cover and she’s just got her clothes on?
I usually put littlepixie in fleecey trousers and a jacket over her top when we go out. If she’s in her buggy we have a footmuff that goes over her to keep her warm. I reckon I might try that clothes combo with the mei-tai cover and see if she’s too hot or just right.
Oh I am so jealous! I want one of those, but they won’t ship them to the US. Dangit! I’m always wanting something to keep my wee ones warm when they are in the sling. I usually just put them in my jacket and throw a blanket over them. I love that though.

hi…does it work with ring slings? was thinking of getting one too.
@hanis, it could do, it is shaped like a MT so wraps very effectively around MTs & SSCs, but you could also wear it with a ring sling as you tie it around yourself, it might take a little more jiggling around to position it.
They are really very snuggly indeed
