Our little holiday to Dublin was great, littlepixie had an amazing time. NaBloPoMo completely took my ability to create coherent posts away so I’ll do bullet points to summarise for now, and follow up with some pictures tomorrow…
The Taitasi was unbelievably comfortable, we did both front & back carries, some days littlepixie was carried for about three or four hours and napped cosily all snuggled up in it.
The MaM cover is worth its weight in gold, it was extremely cold in Dublin with a biting cold breeze but littlepixie was all warm with just her regular clothes (vest, top, fleecy trousers & fleecy jacket), no need for a snow suit or bulky jacket. The hat is excellent too, it completely covers all around her neck. I’ll post an action shot soon…
Dundrum centre pleased us greatly, Yo Sushi has opened there, with a conveyor belt of goodies, plenty of veggie options, bringing back delicious memories of our love of Sushi King in Malaysia. We rolled out of there full of kappa maki and inari.

Another plus for the Dundrum centre, it has (finally) opened a really nice feeding room, with three armchairs, big flopsy cushions, lovely animal murals on the walls and a little play table for bigger kids. The large, unsmelly changing room was completely separate too.
You can feed anywhere you want in Ireland, but sometimes overstimulated littlepixies benefit from a little break with some classical music in a lovely peaceful room away from the crazy Christmas shoppers. Here’s a pic of the feeding room…
Wagamama, wagamama…. yum, yum, yum! We only have two in Ireland, one in Cork & one in Dublin, so it was first on our list of things to do. Mr HalfPintPixie often jokes that they sponsored my pregnancy as he used to be inundated with takeaway requests!
Went to see The Golden Compass, I really enjoyed it. It’s a great, race-along ride of a movie. The world was beautifully realised, I loved the airships and Oxford. Have a look at the movie’s website, you can have a bit of fun meeting your own daemon! Mine’s a mouse
I’m looking forward to seeing the sequels, as I really enjoyed His Dark Materials. It’ll be interesting to see how they treat some of the more controversial elements of the story in the later movies!
On an aside, it’s really annoying that they’ve re-released the book in Ireland as The Golden Compass, I muchly prefer the original title, The Northern Lights, it’s much more evocative.
The Christmas lights on Grafton Street are beautiful, will post photo soon too…
That’s all for now, I must go and catch up on a week’s work of emails and other people’s blog posts, wish me luck!

welcome back home!Nice to hear you had a nice holiday:)
Thanks for the baby covering feed back.I have just ordered one but they are out of stock here ( 2 stockists) maybe because of your post, lol. I wish they can deliver ours before we leave on friday.
Isil, I just checked the shop I got mine from and they’re sold out too! Blame magicmum, I think everyone bought one the same day after one of the mums posted a lovely pic.
Welcome Home, Pixie! It sounds like a lovely vacation was had by all! I hope we will see some pictures posted here as the days go on!
The baby cover sounds terrific, as does the carrier. I thought we had bought every sling and carrier known to man with our first, but I guess not!
It sounds like something I’ll have to get if we have another….
Welcome back! I’ve been doing bullet points, too- sort of just clumping ideas into one post. A month of blogging drained me, too. Sound like you’ve got a rhythm going on with your carrier, the coat, bfing in the new space- so wonderful when you can actually relax somewhere else for a change. Glad to hear your trip was so awesome. Looking forward to the pictures.
Welcome back.
I love the His Dark Materials series and am really looking forward to seeing the film.
I did the Daemon test and apparently I am a Lion, but I have put that questionnaire thingy up on my blog to confirm the findings… A lion seems a little big for me.
Glad you had a good time away. Dublin is one of my favourite cities, when at Uni in North Wales did a number of day trips on the ferry. Happy days! Feel a plan coming on…
sounds like a fabulous time. welcome home! you’ve been missed!
We got the Mam Cover yesterday and tried it at home today. It’s amazing, thanks for posting about it
Glad you like it Isil, it’s good weather for them now!
