MR. HPP & most of my friends have twitter accounts, but I don’t. You see, between my real life self & my Halfpintpixie self, I can just about manage to keep this blog updated and occasionally update my facebook status, I’m quite disorganised!
But today I have left this post open on my computer and I am tweeting here all day so that you can all see that I am actually doing the world a service by not subjecting it to all my random thinkings. I have kindly left out the regular things like nappy changes, nursings, snacks etc. Assume that all the gaps are filled with these!
So here goes…
09:00 HPP is sore from cycling yesterday!
09:05 HPP found a monster spider in one of the teddybear’s ears today. She caught it in a glass so LP could study it. LP loves spiders. It’s free now outside, in the rain.
09:30 Littlepixie thinks that her belly button is a spider which has gotten stuck, she sticks her finger into it and very concernedly shouts, “mama spida stuck”. HPP explains about belly buttons, LP laughs and wanders off.
09:45 HPP & LP clean the kitchen and excavate under the couches.
10:15 Tesco delivery arrives. Previously clean kitchen is now covered in soya milk cartons and bean tins.
10:20 HPP puts the frozen beans in the freezer and ignores the rest of the delivery!
10:30 HPP is having “elevenses”, a cup of tea and a banana sandwich with a fig roll. LP is having toast which she calls “tea”.
10:45 Rain stops, HPP and LP rush out with muslin cloths to dry off swingset.
10:50 LP loves her new swingset, an early birthday present from her grandparents.
10:55 HPP also loves the swingset, even though she thinks backgarden swingsets are a tad aspirational and middleclass.
11:00 LP is throwing her dolly down the slide then following her. HPP is hanging out the washing and wringing out soaking muslin cloths.
11:05 HPP is chortling as she remembers reading a post from a mum-to-be wondering why they were called muslim cloths.
11:10 HPP is thinking how useful and infinitely reuseable muslin cloths are.
12:00 HPP has spent 1 hour on the swing, LP has spent that time on the slide and rolling in the grass, everyone is happy.
12:30 LP is napping, HPP is browsing Magicmum.
12:35 HPP is fed up of the recent anti-breastfeeding, anti-cosleeping attitudes on Magicmum. She should stop reading it, but can’t somehow.
12:40 HPP prefers Babywearing Ireland, a newish forum spun off from MM by some of the AP mammies, yay!
12:45 HPP also likes Mothering’s forums, but is scared of them because they’re so big and fastmoving. She reads a lot of the threads but can’t find the time to post there.
12:50 HPP is looking for a tweet icon for this post. She found a cool one!
13:00 HPP has the songs from Dr. Horrible stuck in her head, love them! She enjoyed watching it a few evenings ago.
13:30 LP is awake, HPP & LP are out the back garden again.
13:35 HPP hangs out another line of towels.
14:00 HPP & LP have lunch out in the garden. HPP scoffs a reheated pot of last night’s dinner, “aubergine & chickpea ragout” from “Easy Vegan Cooking” with rice. Yum.
14:15 LP is playing in the sand box while HPP surreptitiously shovels sand into plastic bags to get rid of it. It’s old and HPP hates the way it gets everywhere.
14:30 HPP accidentally murders a wasp while attempting to throw him out the window.
14:45 While making her afternoon cup of tea, HPP hears “Dancey Ho’ from the sitting room and rushes in. “Dancey Ho” is the song LP sings while dancing on elevated surfaces, in this case the back of the couch.
15:00 Deluge. HPP & LP sit in the front door watching the rain. Very cosy.
16:00 Deluge finishes. HPP & LP go out walking, drop off bag of old clothes to charity bin, post letters and play in the playground.
16:35 HPP & LP return home, it is boiling hot outside.
16:45 Another “Dancey Ho” moment, this time it’s the window sill.
17:00 HPP is considering putting the Tesco delivery away.
17:30 LP is watching Boogie Beebies while HPP makes dinner for her, garlic potatoes balls with falafel, her current favourite.
17:35 HPP has accidentally smashed a plate on the floor, it was an ugly plate anyway. HPP hates tiles because she drops things quite frequently in the kitchen and they break on the tiles.
17:36 LP uses this opportunity to break into some bread from the un-put away Tesco delivery. By the time HPP has cleaned up the broken plate, LP is happily chowing down on a slice of wholemeal bread, and “spoiling her dinner”.
17:40 LP is eating her dinner, not much but it all counts!
17:45 HPP is taking in the almost-dry towels, as there are big plops of rain appearing on the ground. LP is back on the slide.
17:50 HPP & LP are sitting on stools in the porch waiting for Mr. HPP. It’s raining again.
18:00 Mr. HPP is home and playing on the swings with LP and it’s sunny again.
18:05 “Dancey Ho” floats in through the back door, LP is dancing at the very top of the slide!
18:10 LP and Mr. HPP are busy watching a ladybird climb the wall, HPP has finished tweeting.
So there you have it, bet you’re glad you don’t have to read that every day

Oy! More ways to stay glued to the computer. I can’t even keep up with all my blog reading, let alone start my own or think about twittering. But, I must admit, I love the idea. I mean, how else can I find out how other Mamas spend their days? DS is always so bored. And, admittedly, I am, too. We go out a lot. Still, since I can’t do any real house/computer work while DS is awake (because he’s not interested in anything but nursing when bored), we need to find stuff to keep us entertained throughout the day. I think we shall try Dancey Ho-ing!

Love this. Toddlers are fantastic.
This was great!
I really wish we could all do this as it really lets us all know what others get up to.
Littlepixie sounds like she’s really moving a long…great going Mumma.
