NaBloPoMo 2008 – Day 6
Gnomes from across the sea…
The postman came knocking “rat-a-tat-tat”,
Myself and LP said “Ooh, who is that?”
The postman stood there with a box from afar,
A box that had travelled by plane, train and car.
Contained deep within was a gift wrapped up tight,
Four gnomes and a fairy (or was it a sprite?)
One gnome clad in purple, the gnome of the Spring,
The next all in yellow, filled with Summertime zing.
The gnome of the Autumn was orange and bright,
The last cloaked in wine for the long Winter night.
A gnome for each season, each part of the year.
And a fairy for birthdays filled with love and with cheer.
The fairy, their friend, was so pretty and small,
With her dress and her hat and her hair oh so tall.
So beautifully crafted, four gnomes and their friend,
So happily received, to their needs we did tend,
We made them a house from the box from afar,
The box that had travelled by plane, train and car.
So after flying so far, they now have a new home,
Filled with flowers and petals for each fairy & gnome!

Thank you so much, Jumbleberry Mama, LP loves her birthday present!
