NaBloPoMo 2008 – Day 28
We have been spending a lot of time at our local library this week as it is bitterly cold outside, lovely and clear but very cold, real December weather (well it is nearly December). The library is about a 10 minute walk from our house so it’s very handy. They have a cosy kids’ area with lots of books (surprise!) and also puzzles and wooden toys.
The puzzles are all “piece the animal together” type puzzles, a head on one part, hind-quarters on the other, I’m sure you can see where this is going. LP loves these puzzles, so the whole library gets to listen to Littlepixie chatting to herself “ah sheep, hmm, sheep’s bum, sheep’s bummmmm, dere’s sheep’s bum. Ahh hippo, hippo’s bum, hippo’s buuummmmmmm…” and so on!
They also run a story-telling group for pre-schoolers on Fridays there but it is right in the middle of LP’s nap time, I’d say it will be fun to go to that next time she’s awake at noon on a Friday.
I also spotted a huge LLL book about breastfeeding proudly displayed on the top of the parenting cabinet. Good to see in a little village library!

Love it! Bum. Bum. Bum.
Very cool that your local library is so with it!
LP is too adorable! YAY for library fun!
Libraries are a true wonderland for younguns and biguns alike.
