Today was wet and rainy and dull and stormy but the postie brightened up my day with a splendid parcel containing two exciting things from my good friend Bibble! The first was for Littlepixie – a mermaid & pink cord SSC for carrying her dolls, she absolutely loves it! In exchange for this carrier I made a special felt food gift for Bibble’s daughter which I will show you all after she receives it (can’t spoil the surprise!).
And the second goodie was my new bag, I have been soooo looking forward to this bag. I was able to ask for as many pockets as I wanted (I love pockets!) and it is just perfect. It’s so hard to find the exact right bag but methinks this is it! Some pictures….
The front:
Shall we count the pockets? Here goes…
The back has a velcro pocket (1) – the full width of the bag, there are two side pockets, one for a drink (2), the other with a velcro flap (3). Open up the big front flap and there are two small pockets for lip balm and bus tickets (4,5).
Then on the inside there is one side pocket with elastic – perfect for holding cotton shopping bags (6), another side pocket with velcro flap (7), one big zip pocket the width of the bag (8), a pocket in front of that also the width of the bag (9), and on the other side, there are two more wallet sized pockets (10, 11) – 11 pockets in one bag!!! Woo hoo 
And there is even a wee bag that you can fit a nappy & wipes into which ties onto the little D-ring hoop inside the bag (tee hee, is it inappropriate to call a nappy bag a “wee bag”??)… Would that be considered to be another pocket, yes, I think it would… so pocket-count=12!!!
Back to the bag…. Lift the front flap and there is a zip to contain all the interior thingies!
Open the zip and organised chaos presents itself
Now, isn’t that a dream bag? So many pockets, plus a couple of loops and hooks inside for my keys!
I chose my own fabric, so of course kaffe fassett’s pumpkin spice features prominently and the outer burgundy fabric is waterproof which is very splendid
The strap is like a ring-sling so you can adjust it to wear it over or under a baby sling and I have seen photos of another BWI lady wearing hers as a backpack by cleverly looping the strap around her shoulders! It’s about A4 sized but holds a huge amount of my rubbish essential stuff! Just call me Mary Poppins

Ooooo a many pocketed bag, my dream bag! When I was little I couldn’t wait to be old so I could have a bag with lots of pockets!

I LOVE bags with lots of pockets. In fact it’s quite a joke in the family! Your new bag is gorgeous. What a clever friend you have! You’re both such crafty people, in the nicest possible way!
